A total of 458 photovoltaic panels were installed with an installed power of 208.39 kWp, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The installation was carried out as part of the Porto Solar project, which aims to promote energy efficiency and independence in various municipal buildings. It involves the installation of photovoltaic panels on municipal infrastructures in order to guarantee the production and use of renewable electricity in 29 buildings managed by the municipality.

The installation of the 454 kWp park guarantees self-sufficiency on sunny days, powering the campus buildings and the electric vehicle park, as well as selling the surplus. With 1,228 panels on the roofs of the three reservoirs, it is a milestone in Porto's economic and environmental sustainability.
