Presentation

A total of 458 photovoltaic panels were installed with an installed power of 208,39 kWp, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The installation was carried out as part of the Porto Solar project, which aims to promote energy efficiency and independence in various municipal buildings. It involves the installation of photovoltaic panels on municipal infrastructures in order to guarantee the production and use of renewable electricity in 29 buildings managed by the municipality.

Sustainable Development Goals

4. Quality education; 7. Affordable and clean energy; 10. Reducing inequalities; 11. Sustainable cities and communities; 13. Climate action;

Results

Annual production of 274,94 MW/h, 61,42% of which was directly self-consumed at the respective facilities. This ensures 36,05% of energy needs.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS

54 photovoltaic panels were installed at the Fonte da Moura Elementary School with a power output of 24,57 kWp. The panels have an annual production of 34.501,87 kW/h of electricity, of which 45,58% is consumed by the school, corresponding to a reduction in emissions of 5,38 tonnes of CO₂/year. This intervention was carried out as […]
The Self-Consumption Production Unit at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Sobreiras consists of 635 photovoltaic panels that produce clean energy to power the WWTP’s operations. These panels have a capacity of 387 kilowatt-peak (KWp) and an estimated production of 619 megawatt-hours (MWh) per year, representing savings of around 80.000 euros per year on the […]
The Agra do Amial Renewable Energy Community (REC) was implemented in 2024 with the aim of supplying and sharing electricity between the buildings that make up the REC, in a self-consumption model. The total installed power is around 127 kWp, distributed across 233 photovoltaic solar panels, of which 205 are located in the Agra do Amial […]
